Who we are
Nema Eats ("we") operates a food-delivery marketplace for halal restaurants at nemaeats.com and in the Nema Eats mobile apps. Questions: hello@nemaeats.com.
Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, and phone number. Order information: items ordered, delivery addresses, order history, and payment status (card details are processed by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers). Location information: we collect your device's precise location, with your permission, to show nearby restaurants, deliver your orders, and — for drivers — to dispatch and track deliveries, including in the background while a driver is online for deliveries. Device information: device or other identifiers, push tokens, and app diagnostics used to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
To operate the marketplace: process orders and payments, coordinate delivery, send order-status notifications, prevent fraud, provide support, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share what's needed to fulfill your order: your first name, delivery address, and order contents with the restaurant and the courier; payment data with Stripe; delivery details with our delivery service when a third-party courier fulfills your order. We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, email, SMS delivery), and when required by law.
SMS / text messaging
If you opt in, we send transactional order-status texts as described in our SMS Program. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Your choices
You can access, update, or delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account) or by emailing us. You can turn off location permissions and push notifications in your device settings, and manage notification preferences in your account. We keep order records as required for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention.
